BNP Paribas Asset Management has launched a US mid-cap fund, which will be managed by Optimum Investment Advisors.
The Parvest US Mid Cap fund aims to avoid any style bias and concentrate purely on stock picking in portfolio construction.
It will concentrate on 40 stocks considered undervalued given their earnings prospects. The product is domiciled in Luxembourg.
According to Parvest, mid caps provide a better risk/reward ratio than small caps and a wider range of investment opportunities than blue chips.
They are less researched by analysts and often undervalued, giving the fund manager the opportunity to take advantage of market inefficiencies.
Parvest has 68 sub-funds and more than E20.5bn of assets and distribution in 24 countries. It offers a range of specialised sub-funds covering every asset class .
Optimum Investment Advisors currently manages $1.4bn of assets and employs 14 investment professionals.
