Investec Asset Management today appointed Jacob Robbins as fund manager of its $154m Global Dynamic fund.
Robbins joined Investec in 2005, and has seven years investment experience.
Previously he was associate director in international equities at Insight Investment, analysing international equities and assisting in the management of the Japanese fund.
The Global Dynamic fund is part of Investec's 4Factor product range which share an analytical process.
Mark Breedon, head of 4Factor global equities at Investec, says he is looking forward to a successful stewardship of this growing high-alpha equity product.
“Jacob has played a significant role in the success of this offshore fund over the past two years and his appointment recognises his key contribution in driving the performance of the Dynamic fund,” Breedon says.
