Robert O'Hara has joined Invista Real Estate Investment Management (Invista REIM) as head of HBOS funds it was announced today.
O’Hara will head up a team of six investment professionals to manage HBOS mandates, with a total value of £5bn.
He has considerable experience in managing HBOS funds, having managed the HBOS Unitised Fund when he joined Invista in 2004, and has grown the unitised funds from £600m to more than £3bn.
Duncan Owen, chief executive of Invista, comments: “As Robert’s responsibilities to date have included the management of a significant proportion of HBOS funds under management, his appointment to Head of HBOS funds is a natural progression. We believe his skills and experience will prove invaluable in actively managing the HBOS funds.”
According to Invista, O’Hara’s work with the unitised funds has improved investment performance and a number of the funds have become top performers in their peer groups since he joined the firm.
