FSA won't disclose details of pension switch speakers

It says it cannot reveal personal information on its employees as it would breach the principles in the Data Protection Act 1998. A Freedom of Information (FOI) request sent by an adviser to the FSA asked for the names, qualifications and experience in giving pensions advice of those taking part in the events. Earlier this year the regulator wrote to more than 4,500 UK advisers setting out the standards it expects of firms and the actions they should take to ensure customers receive suitable advice.
