Fidelity International has poached Morgan Stanley investment veteran Dermott Whelan to run its European equity multimanager portfolios.
Whelan, set to join the firm in March, previously spent 18 years at Morgan Stanley where he built up extensive market knowledge across equity, fixed income, long-only fund selection, hedge funds and private equity. He has over 12 years of investment management experience, is a qualified accountant and became an associate member of the Institute of Investment Management and Research in 1999.
