Aegon Scottish Equitable is launching an initiative to help IFAs explain complicated investment concepts to their clients.
The initiative consists of a pack of sales aids, 13 of which are aimed at the client and five for the IFA.
The first 'Simply Investments' packs are going out to IFAs this week, according to David Aaron, marketing communications manager for investment products at Aegon. He said the company has "already recieved more than 100 requests" for the packs so far.
The packs cover a range of issues many non-professional investors frequently feel uncertain about including: taxes, risk, volatility, and the difference between property and equity investment.
The decision to produce the packs, which are free to IFAs, was in response to growing nervousness among many investors about investing in stock markets in particular at the current time, Aeron says.
“This tries to allay some of their fears, and gives advisers a chance to point out the historic, long-term advantages of investing in the markets as compared with keeping their money in high street banks," he says.IFAonline
