Retirement planning remains the main reason for seeking financial advice, claims research from IFA Promotion (IFAP).
A quarterly report produced by IFAP, entitled Advice Drivers, shows at the end of 2005, 34% of requests to find an IFA were based on the need for retirement planning. In the second of its quarterly reports, of 130,600 requests to find an IFA, IFAP says the share of consumers seeking advice on their retirement provision rose significantly towards the end of the year.
