Gary Clarke leaves Gartmore to join Schroders' European equities team

Gary Clarke, manager of the Gartmore European Focus Funds, has announced that he will be leaving the group to join the European equities team at Schroders. Clarke, who has been at the company for two years, will leave his post on 4 July and have a period of gardening leave before he starts at Schroders in September. In addition to managing the Gartmore European Focus Fund, which were recently rated 'AA' by S&P and Forsyth Partners, Clarke had also been lead fund manager for all Gartmore's 'Aggressive Alpha' retail and institutional funds in pan and continental Europe.
