Scottish Equitable has released another three tranches to its sector funds platform, adding the remaining eight funds to the 16-strong range.
The funds added are the Lazard European Smaller Companies and UK Alpha funds, UBS Global Emerging Markets and US Equity funds, Artemis Capital and Income funds, JP Morgan Natural Resources fund and First State Asia Pacific Leaders fund.
Commenting on the range of funds selected, Mark Pearson, head of investment marketing at Scottish Equitable, said: "The process we went through was first to establish where there were gaps in our range driven partly by market demand and partly by no representation. Then we prioritised what to fill first - clearly resource does not allow launching a huge number in one go. Then, with the help of OBSR we identified suitable funds and possibly new managers."
The addition of the 16 sector funds to the groups' platform brings the number of funds available to 82 from 17 different fund managers. Nine of the 16 added funds have returned top-quartile performance in the past three years.
Pearson adds: "As this is an ongoing process more funds will be launched next year but at this moment we are focusing on the managers we now have on the platform."
