Barry Sagraves has been appointed to the board of Martin Currie Ltd. He joined the group in February this year as director of corporate strategy. Sagraves was previously director of corporate development at John Nuveen & Co in Chicago.
Alastair Mundy has been named senior investment manager at Investec Asset Management. He joins from Morley Fund Management where he has managed the CGU Equity Income Trust for the last eight years. Mundy will now be working under Chris Burvill for Investec's UK equity income team.
Aberdeen Asset Management has announced the appointment of two non-executive directors to its board, Sir Malcolm Rifkind, former Conservative Foreign Secretary and Secretary of State for Scotland, and Susan Murray, executive group marketing director of The Littlewoods Organisation.

Tony Brennan has been named group director and general manager at DCP, an international e-business solutions group. In his new role Brennan will focus on group expansion in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He will also have responsibility for running the Irish and UK offices. Brennan joined the group after 11 years with the Bank of Ireland as programme manager for the Savings and Investment Business in both the UK and Ireland.
Michael Fordham has been appointed head of financial services at Interactive Investor International, reporting to the chief commercial officer, Anthony Rawlinson. Fordham joins the group from Cap Gemini UK where he was associate director and head of business development for the Banking and Securities Division with a responsibility for e-commerce business.
Joji Maki has been named senior director and head of the Japanese Equity Investment Team at Baring Asset Management. Maki will be leading a team of eight investment professionals responsible for managing all of Barings' Japanese equity portfolios. Additionally he will be a contributing member of the team, headed by Tom Maier, charged with asset allocation and portfolio construction decisions for Japanese clients. Maki will be based in Tokyo and will report to Michael Hughes, chief investment officer, and Takanori Hiromoto, president of Baring Asset Management (Japan) Ltd.

Morley Fund Management has signed on seven investment professionals focusing on socially responsible investment (SRI) from Henderson Investors. Clare Brook, investment director SRI, will head the team and will report to Gerald Holtham, the group's chief investment officer. Prior to this Brook was director and fund manager of SRI Henderson Investors. The team of seven will consist of fund manager Linnet Cotterill, assistant fund manager Peter Michaelis and research analysts Toby Belsom, Fiona Cuthbert and Jo Johnston. Paul moody, head of business development SRI, will spearhead business development opportunities for the team.
