The Co-operative Insurance Society (CIS) is to withdraw from the sale of traditional with-profits endowment plan business. The group will instead focus on marketing its with-profits stakeholder pension and Isa products. The decision follows an earlier move at the start of 2000 to cease writing low-cost mortgage endowments.
