Axa Investment Managers has hired Morag Lenman to take over the management of its Global Growth Oeic.
The existing manager Steve Tyson will now spend more time on his other portfolio, World Opportunities, and on managing the global equity team's investment process.
Lenman was previously with Lombard Odier, working on its global equities team.
Axa said it does not anticipate any changes to the Global Growth fund with Lenman's arrival. Axa Global Growth is ranked 103 out of 170 funds over the three months to the 20 May, based on returns of 1.1% compared to the sector average of 1.8% bid to bid.
Over one year to that date, the fund has returned -18.5%, the same as the peer group, ranking it 71 out of 159 offer to bid. Over three months to 20 May, Axa World Opportunities has returned the sector average, ranking it 85 out of 170 funds in the global growth sector. Over one year the fund has fallen 16.3%, compared to a -18.5% return for the peer group.
