A survey of leading IFAs and portfolio managers has shown the financial stability of asset management firms has become increasingly significant when selecting funds. Some 59% of respondents said the financial stability of a company is an important factor when considering a fund for investment while 37% believe the financial stability of asset managers is increasingly important. Just 2% of the respondents feel the financial stability of an asset firm is not important. Isis Asset Management conducted the survey among 53 fund buyers in the UK.
