Zurich Financial Services has launched the fourth tranche of its Zurich Guaranteed Account, a five-and-a-half year structured product offering full exposure to the upside in the FTSE 100 index.
The product is 100% capital guaranteed and has an early kick-out whereby if the index has risen 30% or more at the end of three years, investors receive their original capital plus 30%.
If the index has not grown by 30% after three years, it continues for the full term, with final payment calculated on the average monthly closing level of the index over the final 12 months.
The product has no explicit charges. It opens for investment on 8 September and closes on 20 October. Applications received before 3 October will receive a bonus allocation of 0.25%.
The investment date is 24 October when the closing level of the FTSE 100 will be taken as the starting point.
Minimum investment is £2,500 and maximum is £250,000. Commission is 3%, which can be reinvested for additional allocation.
The first three tranches of the account have taken £120m in investor funds this year and this final tranche is capped at £50m. Interest will be paid net of tax at the lower rate, which is currently 20%. Investors who are non-taxpayers when the account matures can receive interest gross subject to completion of Inland Revenue paperwork.
