The Teather & Greenwood UK Smaller companies fund, to be managed by former Perpetual fund manager John Sweet, launches on 8 February. The fund will see Sweet operate a portfolio of fewer holdings than he did at Perpetual, where he worked for 10 years, running around 220 stocks. In his new fund, Sweet will have between 60 and 80 holdings. The Perpetual UK Smaller Companies fund was ranked 20 out of 70 funds in the Autif UK smaller companies sector on three year offer to bid performance of 36.2% to 30 May last year, the point at which Sweet left the group.
