Staff at the IFA protection network the Protection Partnership has had to deal with several cases of mistaken identity after another protection firm with a similar name recently went into voluntary liquidation.
Kay Barron, managing director at the Protection Partnership Ltd - company no 04733034 - says the group has received several external enquiries about Pure Protection Network Ltd - company no 04099794 - but wants to clarify that the two are in no way connected.
"Protection Partnership Limited is a separate unencumbered entity with no indebtedness and a healthy balance sheet; the Company was founded by a group of IFAs," says a statement from the Protection Partnership.
Part of the confusion may be due to the Protection Partnership's recent move from Telford in Shropshire to Seaton, at the same time as the Hampshire-based Pure Protection Network - previously known as The Non-Regulated Group - elected to go into voluntary liquidation.
