Chris Poil, head of UK equities at Baring Asset Management, has left the group along with Mark Latham, who ran the group's Global Resource and World Opportunities funds. Investment Week understands the pair are looking to join start-up ventures and Latham may be looking to establish a hedge fund. Richard Buxton, fund manager of the frAAA UK Growth trust, will take over Poil's role on the UK team. Buxton has been with the UK desk since joining the group in 1990.
