Standard Life emerging markets rejig

Standard Life Investments has boosted its emerging markets desk with the appointment of Steve Weeple as investment director, writes Kira Nickerson. Weeple, previously head of the Latin American equity desk at Scottish Life, will report to Kevin Smith, global head of stock selection at the group. He will be responsible for stockpicking in specific emerging markets and be involved in global asset allocation, however, he will not be heading up any of the funds.
