Interactive Investor International (iii) has launched the US Equity Centre, designed to help users find out more about trading on the US stock market.
The www.iii.co.uk/usequity site features a trading guide including advice on the differences between UK and US investing, currency considerations and tax implications. It also offers a facility which finds quotes from stocks listed on exchanges including NYSE and Nasdaq and a facility showing the most popular stocks in iii investor's portfolios.
John Blowers, product marketing director of iii, said: "Anyone looking to diversify their portfolio outside the UK market would naturally look to an investment in US equities.
"Our new centre will ensure that users have the information they need to make the decisions involved in investing in the US, such as choosing a broker, filling out tax forms and figuring out how mutual funds work."
Other features include a US Equity poll of the iii community with realtime results and users' comments available for viewing. A range of updated articles on US market news is also included.
