Winterthur Life, is restructuring its professional advisers division to gear up for market expansion in the IFA sector.
The administration of its Sipp products will be passed to its subsidiary company Personal Pensions Management Limited (PPML), based in Salisbury. This move aims to enable the subsidiary company to concentrate on the administration of Sipps while the professional advisers division focuses on offering an enhanced service to IFAs.
John Moret, currently sales and marketing director for the professional advisers division will become managing director of the expanded PPML operation and Dave Petchey will continue as operations director there.
Mike Kellard, currently sales director for Winterthur's professional advisers division will take over responsibility for this area. Kellard has already restructured the sales team operation since joining Winterthur in February last year. Kellard said: "This is further evidence of our commitment to IFAs. In 2000 and beyond, Sipps will continue to be an important part of our product portfolio."
John Finan, chairman and chief executive of Winterthur Life said: "This development is very much part of our overall strategy of creating centres of excellence that allow us to concentrate on maintaining our lead in specialist markets."
