Openwork CEO Martin Davis looks at how networks are positioning themselves in the run up to the RDR.

It may be inadvisable to say it, but the market appears to have turned. Over the past few months business volumes have markedly improved. December, in fact, was Openwork’s strongest month in the whole of 2009, despite the Christmas break almost halving the usual number of business days. Volumes were up over 10% over the month, with November similarly strong, also up over 10%. That is nothing short of extraordinary given the ongoing uncertainty in the market. Volumes were, interestingly, significantly up in pensions as well as in mortgages, where business was buoyed by a resurgent market....
