UK investors 'wiser' than Euro counterparts

RESEARCH commissioned by ABN AMRO Asset Management has revealed that UK investors are more advanced in investing for income than their European counterparts, although the former still need to look to a more diversified savings strategy.

The asset manager is therefore urging UK investors seeking income to look towards global markets. The research found that 54pc of UK investors either have a specific investment approach in place, or intend to implement one, while a further 20pc will invest for future income without employing a strategy. In contrast, only 27pc and 32 pc of Dutch and French investors respectively were found to have a planned investment approach for income.
