Catalyst and Stargate in SRI fund alliance

Catalyst Investment Group and Stargate Capital Management have jointly launched an SRI vehicle billed as reducing both an investor's tax liability and carbon footprint.

The Catalyst Stargate EIS Green fund is structured as an enterprise investment scheme, meaning it has a reduced income tax liability equal to 20pc of the total invested and is free from inheritance tax (IHT) after two years. The fund also offers freedom from capital gains tax (CGT), as there is none payable on disposal of shares after three years.
