The Investment Association's (IA) Sterling Strategic Bond sector is made up of funds investing across the major listed fixed interest markets - predominantly developed market government bonds, investment grade corporate bonds and sub-investment grade (high yield) bonds. Strategic bond funds will therefore hold the debt of various institutions across geographies and across the credit quality spectrum. Many funds can also hold more specialist instruments, such as emerging market debt, asset-backed securities or loans, while some can even be invested up to 20% in equities. As of November 20...
