Atlantis appoints Asian Special Sits manager

Atlantis Investment Management, an Asian equity specialist, has appointed James Weir to manage its Atlantis Asian Special Situations fund.

Weir was previously assistant fund manager to Tony Jordan, who he replaces as lead manager. Jordan has been appointed co-chairman of Atlantis Investment Management in London, replacing Peter Pearson who retired last year, with Yang Liu. Jordan, who joined the firm in 1996, will continue to run the Atlantis Asian Recovery fund and the Atlantis Asian Opportunities fund. Liu joined Atlantis in 2002 and continues as fund adviser to the Atlantis China fund and the Atlantis China Fortune fund.
