J O Hambro's Beagles takes sabbatical

J O Hambro Capital Management (JOHCM) senior fund manager Clive Beagles has decided to take a sabbatical of up to six months.

Beagles, who has been on sick leave since 17 September, will take the extra time off to recover from his illness. The JOHCM UK Equity Income fund reins have been handed to James Lowen, who has managed the fund with Beagles since its launch three years ago. Like Beagles, Lowen joined JOHCM in 2004 from Newton, to launch the firm’s UK equity income proposition.
