Legal & General has agreed to provide £40,000 in sponsorship for Action on Stroke Month in May 2014.
L&G has partnered with the Stroke Association in order to support the charity's flagship annual awareness month later this year.
The month-long campaign will promote awareness and fundraising events across the country, including Stroke Community Fairs where people can learn about the range of support available to stroke survivors.
Legal & General executive managing director for insurance Duncan Finch said: "Stroke is one of the major health issues that can affect our customers. By working with the UK's leading stroke charity, we can help improve our understanding of the impact of stroke and develop our products and services to meet the needs of those affected by this devastating condition. "
Stroke Association head of corporate partnerships James Hails said: "Having Legal & General on board to support Action on Stroke Month is a huge coup for the charity.
"Although stroke is one of the UK's biggest killers, and leading causes of disability, far too many people don't understand what a stroke is or don't think it will happen to them."
