2Plan, the new national IFA firm, has linked up with The Exchange to offer the Exweb platform to its advisers.
Exweb will provide a single online trading platform giving 2Plan’s advisers individual secure access to the full range of Exweb’s online services. This includes quotations, e-submissions and research from over 50 providers and 300+ products, plus a specialist equity release service, supported by all 17 equity release providers in the intermediary marketplace.
2Plan is a Leeds based national IFA business launched in July 2007 by two former Positive Solutions directors and also backed by Standard Life. The company provides independent, whole of market advice, as well as complete compliance and technology services to self-employed advisers across the UK.
Chris Smallwood, chief executive of 2Plan, comments: “We chose The Exchange as our preferred portal partner because we felt its comprehensive technology solutions would benefit all of our users, giving valuable support to their competitive and cost-efficient business strategies.
"As well as providing a flexible solution that will support our current needs – along with our future growth - I am confident that it will give our advisers access to faster, more accurate and streamlined processes. We will provide the Exweb services to all of our members, but allow them freedom of choice to use other systems where appropriate.”
David Child, managing director of The Exchange, adds: “We are delighted to be able to support the launch of 2Plan and feel confident that they will be a dynamic new entrant to the market – especially given their previous, extensive experience in the industry."
