A new fund research tool has been launched on independent wrap platform Ascentric, allowing users to access material relating to ETFs and other funds in a single location.
The Fund Research Centre, developed specifically for Ascentric by Funds Library, consists of bespoke tools covering ETFs and funds available on the wrap platform and in the marketplace.
These tools have filters and search fields, allowing for interactive and extensive research. They are also integrated, so advisers can save their portfolios within the tools and view the whole cost of investment decisions for each client.
The Fund Central tool is a search engine and filter service, for reviewing ETF and fund documents, performance, and research. Filters include searching by IMA sector, risk factors, asset allocation, as well as S&P fund ratings.
Also in the Centre is the Fund Comparison tool, allowing advisers to select up to six funds, using a range of criteria. This provides a breakdown of the funds, in terms of performance, asset allocation, top ten holdings, sectors and risk.
The third tool in the set is the Key Features Builder, enabling advisers to show clients all the charges and how they affect the total expense ratios.
