Aviva launches D2C platform

Insurer Aviva has launched a direct to consumer (D2C) platform giving consumers access to a general investment account, and ISA and a self-invested personal pension (SIPP).

The platform allows consumers to manage their investments in one place, including buying, selling and switching investments themselves online. It will be further developed "in due course" to include products such a drawdown. Related reading: Platforms accelerate B2B2C plans as advice gap widens The service will come at a cost of 0.40% for the first £50,000 of assets; 0.35% for up to £250,000; 0.25% for up to £500,000; and free on assets worth more than £500,000.
