Like many of us, I like eating out. Cuisine and gastronomy of all kinds excite me, I love the thought of exploring an original and interesting restaurant, whether for dinner at home in the Cotswolds or a lunch in London. The past two decades has truly witnessed an explosion of the diversity and quality of food available in the UK, which I welcome. It hasn't always been like this.
