Buxton's UK Alpha passes £500m mark as inflows soar

Richard Buxton's Old Mutual UK Alpha fund has passed the £500m AUM mark, having grown at a rate of £100m a month since he joined the firm in June.

The UK Alpha fund ended last week with £520m in assets under management, up from £401m at the end of June and around £280m at the end of May. Buxton's new flagship portfolio had about £150m in assets at the time his departure from Schroders was announced. The manager ran Old Mutual Equity 3 - now renamed UK Alpha - as a mirror version of his Schroder UK Alpha Plus fund while at the latter firm.
