The UK small cap market has done spectacularly well over the last year, leaving some to question where potential upside will come from next, but stock pickers say there are still some gems that can keep on rising.

The FTSE Small Cap index is up 23% in the last twelve months, compared to a gain of 12% for the FTSE 100. Such a level of outperformance from the small cap index has left it on a multi-year high, but investors say there are still some stock specific oportunities out there. Hermes managers David Stormont and John Leahy - top performing manaergs who have returned 75.52% via the Hermes UK Small and Mid Cap fund compared to a return of 57.06% from the Numis Smaller Companies index in the last three years - have selected a range of shares they are backing to keep on delivering returns. ...
