Financial Capability to separate key consumer groups

An education programme targeted at seven different sectors of society are being created under the FSA-led Financial Capability Forum to improve consumer knowledge about their money and finances.

Instead of attempting to manage all educational requirements within the same remit, relevant experts - from the Financial Services Authority, trade and consumer bodies, product providers as well as a handful of personal finance journalists - will meet at regular working groups to try and create a strategy for offering financial, information and advice specific to: Schools and laying the foundation of personal finance education Young adults and their new responsibilities Work and using the workplace to deliver personal finance initiatives Families and the financial implications of bei...
