Richard Taylor has been appointed as managing director of A J Bell Pensions, responsible for its SSAS and SIPP business.
He will work alongside Charles Galbraith who is MD of Lawshare, A J Bell's stockbroking arm while Andy Bell will continue as chief executive, with responsibility for the entire A J Bell Group.
Taylor has over 25 years experience in financial services. He joined A J Bell in 2005 as legal and technical director, having worked for a number of pension providers including National Mutual for 17 years.
Andy Bell comments: "This latest senior management appointment is a natural extension of our success and growth. As well as being natural leaders, Richard and Charles both possess an encyclopedic knowledge of their respective business areas. This appointment will afford me more time to develop and implement our strategic ambitions.
"We are entering an exciting phase of development at A J Bell. Despite difficult market conditions, our business continues to experience growth with funds under administration in our pension and stockbroking divisions in excess of £8bn and SIPP numbers having increased to 32,000. We are well placed to consolidate our place as one of the big four SIPP providers."
