Last night I saw The Big Short featuring Christian Bale, Steve Carell and Brad Pitt as some of the few who bet against the US housing market at a time when it looked, well, as safe as houses. If you work in financial services - and I guess that if you're reading this then you do - then go and see this film. All about the 2008 crash, the fall of the sub-prime lenders and the resulting collapse of several banks in the US and a major wobble for the world's economic system.
