BlackRock launches absolute return factor-based strategy

BlackRock has launched an absolute return multi-asset fund to be managed by Ked Hogan, chief investment officer of its factor-based strategies group.

The BlackRock Strategic Funds Style Advantage fund will invest across multiple asset classes using various style factors within a liquid alternatives framework. It will invest in value, momentum, quality, volatility, and carry strategies across a universe of over 2,500 securities. BlackRock said the fund will not be dependent on market movements and will have a low correlation with traditional asset classes.
