Nearly 40% last worked with a new platform more than five years ago

The majority of industry respondents last worked with a new platform more than five years ago, according to the recent PA Asks survey.

In December's PA Asks, 39% of respondents said that they last started working with a new platform more than five years ago, 21.4% said between one to three years ago, 21.4% said they have in the last 12 months, 14.3% said between three and five years, and 3.6% said they never have. One respondent who last worked with a new platform between one and three years ago said Pershing is their firm's main platform, but they have started using AJ Bell for low-cost retirement investment accounts.
