Pension holders lack confidence in Jeremy Hunt as chancellor

Savers say the government lacks a clear strategy for improving outcomes

Less than a quarter (24%) of UK adults with a pension plan have confidence in Jeremy Hunt as chancellor.

This is according to a survey conducted by at-retirement specialist My Pension Expert among 2,000 adults across the UK between 25 and 31 July 2023. The lack of confidence in the chancellor reflected the broader sentiment of uncertainty and dissatisfaction among pension holders, according to the study. Just 23% said they have confidence that the government will achieve its goal of bringing inflation under 5% by the end of 2023.
