Polar Capital to recruit up to three further FM teams after Miton hires

Hires of Godber and Hamilton announced last week

Polar Capital has announced plans to recruit up to three further fund management teams, as it confirms it has hired UK equity duo George Godber and Georgina Hamilton from Miton.

In an unaudited quarterly update, the group, which has suffered outflows mainly from its Japan funds in recent years, said it will be looking to add further teams and "once again start growing our AUM and profits". The statement said: "As has recently been reported in the media, we are looking forward to welcoming the highly rated UK Value team of George Godber and Georgina Hamilton (pictured) to our group in due course."
