Canaccord acquires Eden Financial in deal worth up to £13m

Canaccord, the Canadian adviser, has acquired the wealth management business of Eden Financial to expand its UK wealth management group, Collins Stewart Wealth Management.

The deal, subject to FSA approval, could be worth up to £12.8m, with £7.7m paid up front and a further £5.1m payable subject to performance. Private client investment management boutique Eden looks after some £835m worth of assets on behalf of 2,500 clients. Canaccord said the deal would boost Collins Stewart's assets to about £9bn.
