IFAs eye pay and bonus boost despite crunch

Nearly seven in ten advisers still harbour hopes of increasing pay and bonuses over the next 12 months despite the market downturn, a study suggests.

According to the latest research from insurer MetLife Europe, 67% of advisers name increasing salary and bonus payments as a "priority" over the next year. More than four in ten advisers (43%) say they are unconcerned about sourcing new leads in the next 12 months, with only 31% saying they are worried. The research will help shape MetLife's UK IFA Annual Report, which is due out in September and attempts to decipher the current state of the industry.
