Cowdery and Tiner to step down from Resolution board as restructure completes

Clive Cowdery, founder of The Resolution Group, and John Tiner, its CEO, have announced they will not stand for re-election as non-executive directors of the group at May's annual general meeting.

Cowdery (pictured) and Tiner, the former chief executive of the Financial Services Authority, have been on the Resolution board since March 2013 when the membership of the boards of Resolution Life and Friends Life Group were unified. In a statement, the group said: "Clive Cowdery and John Tiner were instrumental in the foundation of the company in 2008 and both now believe, as the group has completed its restructuring phase, that it is the right time to step down from the board."
