Clerical Medical has adapted its commission paying structure to allow IFAs to continue drawing up front fees into the stakeholder era. Stakeholder's flat 1% charge has led to fears IFAs will face difficulties as they adjust to lower or less immediate remuneration. The company plans to offer initial commission to IFAs, claiming back the payout through scheme charges. IFAs will also have the option to claim a percentage of each premium paid or an amount based on the size of the fund.
