Charles Martyn-Hemphill, manager of the AA-rated Deutsche American Growth fund, is to focus on the retail portfolio after being freed from running most of his institutional mandates. Deutsche has outsourced all but one of Martyn-Hemphill's institutional mandates to US-based Scudder Investments, following the firm's acquisition by Deutsche Bank. Martyn-Hemphill continues to manage the £328m retail portfolio from London, with analyst coverage provided by the group's enlarged US-based analyst team.
