This has been the biggest year in platforms since the Retail Distribution Review. We have had four IPOs plus the arrival of MiFID II, PROD and the Investment Platforms Market Study Interim Report - all on top of greater market volatility than we have seen for many a year. Yet 2018 will best be remembered as the year that re-platforming broke, or possibly the year that broke re-platforming.
