So the British people have spoken and have sent a clear message they want the future of the United Kingdom to be outside of the EU. We are now in uncharted waters. In the EU's short history, no country has ever chosen to leave and our politicians - the vast majority of whom were overwhelmingly in the ‘Remain' camp - will need to work out how we actually extricate ourselves from the tangled web of agreements and legislation that has been woven around us over the past 40 years.
