Before the turn of the year I wrote about falling interest and deposit rates and, as a result, a few of the short-term structured opportunities currently available.

I thought it would be a good idea to highlight some of the wider issues facing the structured products market. Specifically, how lower interest rates and higher levels of volatility are affecting current product issuance and, more importantly, the types of products advisers and investors can expect to see moving forward throughout 2009.
