A complaint against Barclays Investment Bank over one of its adverts being misleading on sustainability has not been upheld.

On 25 September 2024, Barclays Investment Bank placed an ad in The Economist, under the headline "POWERING a more sustainable future." The ad featured claims about the bank's role in advising and financing clients across the energy sector to support the transition to a low-carbon future.
