Financial advice exam costs continue to rise

Level 4 offerings see biggest price jump

The prices of financial advice exams have continued to increase over the past five years.

Professional Adviser looked at prices for financial advice and planning exams offered through the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) and the London Institute for Banking and Finance (LIBF). Both bodies shared their exam price lists going back five years. The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) declined to share information, citing that it would not be straightforward to collate the data. The biggest price jump was for the Level 4 Diploma, required for individuals to practice as advisers. Fees for the LIBF's Level 4 Diploma have increased from £1,090 in 2021/22...
